What To Expect

Plan On Fun

The Reception Guide keeps us on track with the order of events such as the bride and groom's first dance, the cake cutting, toasts, and the garter and bouquet toss. We can act as the coordinator between the facility staff/caterer, the photographer and videographer, making certain your reception runs smoothly. We can also offer other valuable suggestions with a short meeting by phone, email, or in person.

Dance The Night Away

As a rule, the guests will usually not dance until after the bride and groom have their first dance. This may be immediately followed by a dance with the bride and her father, then the groom and his mother.

In most cases, we kick off the dance portion of your reception after the special dances. This gets the guests up and dancing so they don't feel left out. We are not shy about getting your party started, so if your guests need a little jump-start your DJ can lead them to the floor with line dances or party games.

Lighting and Props

At your request, lighting is provided for the dance floor at no additional charge. Props can also be provided to give your guests or wedding party “permission” to act a little crazy!
